Happy fourth birthday to my baby!

Yesterday, May 6, my first ever car turned four years old. 🙂

This car has been with me everywhere I go for the past four years. In fact, just two weeks after I got her, we already went on our first road trip together. I remember it was for my friends’ wedding, Kelsey and Dave Anderson. My baby, Vickie Blanche, (yes, she’s got a name) and I drove to Sundre, Alberta for our first ever roadtrip. After that, we have been to many other roadtrips, mostly within Alberta. Although, we have also already crossed the Canada-US border when we went to Seattle and Port Townsend, Washington for my 22nd birthday and Solang’s family reunion. For the first three years, my baby and I had a clean record with no speeding tickets but with the occasional parking tickets. The past year though, we got our first ever speeding ticket (and more). Oh well.

Anyways, I just wanted to introduce to you guys, Vickie Blanche who had been there for me for the past four years because without her, I would not have had the chance to visit some of the coolest places I have ever been to!

However, since she is already four years old, my baby needs new tires. Calgary Honda told me I need to get new tires soon but I could not afford it at this moment so I asked my friend who knows a lot about cars about his opinion if I actually need new tires soon or if it could wait until after I get back from Europe which will be sometime in August. When I sent him the photo below, he said I definitely need new tires and it could not wait any longer.

So, I booked my appointment with Calgary Honda and I guess I just have to come up with $1,100. I really, really wish I have another source of income right now because money is so tight and I wish a miracle comes along like now. If not, then I will just have to make sure not to spend a ton of money in Europe.

And to my baby, happy birthday! Consider these new tires my birthday gift to you. Can’t wait for more adventures!

P.S. If any of you know of a part-time job I could apply to in Drayton Valley, Alberta, Canada, please let me know? Thanks!
