Wanderscribe: A Tale of Discovery

Hey guys!

So. There’s this guy. This guy’s name is Curtis Engler. I haven’t met him in person at all. We haven’t met in person because he is from British Columbia and I am from Alberta and I guess we just do not really have the time and money to meet up yet. To be honest, I met him through Tinder. Haha. Also, I messaged him first because I got waaayyy too excited when I found out he has a travel blog but was quickly disappointed when I found out it was empty. 😛

I got excited because I was surprised to find someone like him on Tinder and if you have Tinder downloaded on your phone, you know it is not where you find fellow travelers but like Mr. Engler told me, it’s the voodoo (whatever that means :P).

Anyways, Curtis and I have been talking for a few months now and he is really such an inspiring person. At least I find him inspiring. He is working hard to fulfill his dream of going everywhere and seeing everything. In fact, he is about to go on an epic adventure starting in Ireland in June. I, on the other hand, as much as I want to do what he is doing is sitting here at the office and working my big girl job which is still something I enjoy. Don’t get me wrong, but I would love to be able to just travel and see the world. BUT for now, I do not mind working as a journalist (which has always been my childhood dream, by the way) and pay off some of my debt including car loans and student loans.

While waiting for June, he has done so much work on his website and all these social media platforms and I am so proud and excited for him! I guess the point of this blog entry is for you to go ahead and check out his website and follow his adventures! I know, I will ^_^.

Hey, maybe if Curtis and I end up seeing each other in London in July, we’ll make a little video for you guys! Watcha think? Sounds like a great plan, eh?
