The good thing about having a roommate that loves to go on roadtrips is the fact that you have a roomie that loves to go on roadtrips! 😛
I like how when we both are on a day off, one of us would suggest to drive out of town and the other one almost instantly says “Hell yeah!”
Yesterday was no different. It was Victoria long weekend and my roommate suggested to go to Brazeau dam which is only ten minutes away but then we ended up going to Seba Beach instead which is about half an hour away from Drayton Valley.
My roommate’s selling point that made me change my mind was when she said, “…or we can have ice cream at Seba Beach.” And I was like, “OMG! Yes!” I always enjoy going to small towns to eat ice cream and I have never been to Seba Beach so why not, right?
Seba Beach is okay. I do not think I would go out of my way to go there again. There really is nothing there. The water is a bit dirty and there are lots of huge mosquitos!
Compared to Sylvan Lake, it really is a no-brainer. I would definitely choose to go to Sylvan Lake instead of Seba Beach! There isn’t a lot of shops/restaurants to check out or things to do. I am not sure if you can go swim in Seba Beach but I know you can go for a boat ride.
Expenses: CAD$5 gas (I chipped in), CAD$5 cookie dough milkshake = CAD$10 total
Planning a visit? Check this out.
Huhuhu your outfit here is so cute!!!

Awww <3 Thank you, Kate!
The swimming there is fine… Sadly, where you found just a stub of a pier there used to be a permanent dock structure that out to a concrete platform where the water was deep enough to dive. The water is really only warm enough from late July to mid-late August.
When it comes to bikinis, opt for colours that allow you to mix and match effortlessly. This kind of wearability let’s you double or triple your two-piece possibilities, a smart move considering our cooler climate often means we assemble a leaner swimwear wardrobe.
