Hello!
I need help choosing between these two cities! Paris has always been a dream destination for me. New York on the other hand is also a must-see city for me before I die.
The thing is I have gained $450 on my travel visa card that I could use for a flight.
New York:
- I could stay at my high school friend’s house for a week (truly nice of her)
- I only need to add around $80 from my own pocket to buy a ticket to New York
- I think I have enough money to spend there for a week
- I have a multiple-entry visa to the US
Paris
- I still have Philippine Passport and have no tourist visa to go to Europe
- Flights to Paris are more than just $500
- No place to stay for free
The question is should I use my $450 that I have earned on my credit card to book a flight to New York this year on my birthday week? (July 1-July 9) or should I wait until I have earned enough dollars on my credit card to go to Paris and wait until I have my Canadian citizenship and have my Canadian passport? (who knows when)
Please help me decide and let me know what are the great things happening in New York City from July 1 to July 9, 2014 (especially since I would get to be there for the fourth of July!) Or let me know why I should just wait and go to Paris.
Go to new york for now! 🙂 it will be a chance to cross it off your bucketlist and then you can save for paris, time will pass anyway so why not go when there’s a chance, plus watch a broadway show if you enjoy musical.. i loved wicked and beauty and the beast, hehe
Where should I buy broadway tickets? Also, any tips on where to eat, what to do and where to go?
Oooh…. Paris. There is just no comparison, in my humble opinion! Baguettes and chocolat, café and crepes, music in thousand year-old cathedrals, the River Sienne, standing close enough to Monet’s Water Lilies to see a fleck of dust in his brush strokes, rounding a corner as you meander through the Louvre and coming face-to-face with the Venus de Milo… what was that other city again? 😉 Have fun!
you are soooo convincing. What you said was actually tempting. Are you from France? 🙂 ooooh decisions, decisions!
I’m not from France, but being in Paris was absolutely surreal. I don’t mind admitting that I had a few moments on that trip that just hit me, and I had to stop and just be amazed. New York is fun, but never hit me quite like Paris did.
I’m not from France, but my trip to Paris was probably the most amazing travel experience I’ve had. New York is fun, but never hit me quite like Paris. 🙂
I am sure you did and I know I will, too! After considering all the factors, I have decided to go to New York first because it is the most feasible thing to do at the moment. I am sure I could save up again and better prepare for my trip to France. 🙂 Thank you soooo much for all the points you made and one day, when I finally go there, I will let you know. 🙂
Paris…hands down.
I am finally going to France! I’m going to Paris in August! 🙂
