I have been on the look out for the best carry-on bag in the market for the longest time. Whenever I travel, I am usually a mess when it comes to my carry-on items. Picture this, I have my purse where I put my wallet, passport, and other important documents, then I have my camera bag, then I have my laptop bag, and on top of all of that, I also bring my own blanket and pillow. You can just imagine how many items I carry around. It definitely would be nice to have all of these items in one bag, right?

This problem was solved when I found out about Cabin Zero backpacks. While looking at their website, I really wanted to get the Military 44L Lightweight Cabin Sized Bag in military green which costs CAD$133 but they were sold out.
So I settled for my next choice: the Vintage 44L Ultra Light Cabin Sized Bag in original grey. This bag costs CAD$116.
“This ‘Vintage’ Ultra-light cabin and travel bag also features large 44 litre capacity, side compression straps, top and side handles, front zipped pocket, inside zipped and mesh pocket.”
Other things you need to know about Cabin Zero’s Vintage 44L Ultra Light Cabin Sized Bag:
Volume: 44L
The bag is definitely roomy so you can fill it up with as much items as you need for a carry-on!
Weight: approximately 760 grams
The bag is super light which means you can maximize your luggage weight allowance with actual items!
Dimensions: Fits 55 x 40 x 20 cm
Good news! It fits within the cabin size dimensions required by most airlines! This includes Air Canada and Westjet, for us Canadian travellers!
Composition, Outer: Waterproof polyester Lining: Polyester
This is perfect for any kind of adventure as the bag will for sure keep your items dry!
TheVintage backpack comes in a wide range of colours including absolute black, mysore red, navy, and royal blue. The bag also comes with a 10-year warranty. However, the coolest thing about this bag is that it has a built-in global luggage tracker so you don’t have to worry about losing your bag anymore. The bag must be registered and the tracker tag must be activated by visiting www.okoban.com.
Yes, originally, I wanted to get the Military backpack because of its style (since it has that rugged-look to it) but in the end, I realized the Vintage’s ultra-light feature won my heart. Purpose over design any time! (For reference, the Military backpack weights about 200 grams more than the Vintage backpack.)
Aside from Military and Vintage, Cabin Zero also offers a Classic Ultra Light Cabin Bag that comes in either 44L for CAD$100 and has 19 colours to choose from or 28L for CAD$83 and has seven colours to choose from. In addition, Cabin Zero also sells cabin cubes in different sizes. Cabin cubes can be used to pack clothes and other items in a more organized manner.
Personally, I am really happy with this bag as I can fit at least a week’s worth of clothing, at least three pairs of footwear, laptop and cords, camera, lenses, chargers, blanket, wallet, passport, and other important documents. I no longer have to carry around three different carry-on bags because everything fits in my new Cabin Zero Vintage backpack! With that being said, I am super excited to use this backpack for the first time during my trip to Australia in August!
I thank Cabin Zero for providing me with a Vintage 44L Ultra Light Cabin Sized Bag to review but as always my opinion is unbiased and completely my own.

Your pillow and blanket must be really small if you can fit it in that bag along with all of your clothes, laptop, camera and lenses, plus wallet and passport. I’d be hard-pressed just to get my clothes in it, and I’m a light packer! I’d love to see a video of how you pulled that off! 🙂
