The Miami Beach Architectural District is everything you picture when you think of the location – grand mansions on Oceanfront Drive, curved walls and windows, multicoloured buildings glowing in the sunlight. The 960 historic buildings that make up the district were built from 1915 – 1940 and fans of architecture of the interwar period will be enthralled.
Drop In On Dry Tortugas National Park
If you’re a lover of marine activities such as snorkelling, scuba diving, fishing and swimming then this hidden gem is definitely worth a visit. Just off Key West Island, the park is home to stunning, unspoilt stretches of coral reef just begging to be explored. With 64.000 acres, there is plenty to see and do, including the seven small islands partially submerged under crystal clear waters, and the monumental Fort Jefferson. There are plenty of marinas to dock up in so you can swim, snorkel or explore further inland. The National Park Service is the place to go for a boat permit before entering the park.

If you’re all about the love of boats, then the Miami International Boat Show is a must-save date for your calendar, and something to work your trip around. As the cruise capital of the world, Miami plays host to this spectacular annual event, featuring the latest models and technology of engines, powerboats and other marine accessories. Around a hundred thousand sailing superfans descent on Miami from all over the world, as much to see some of the hugely impressive boats other guests bring as for any of the exhibitions! It’s a sailing mecca and well worth the trip if life on the high seas is your thing.
